Lauri Bullen, MD
Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician
I grew up in Dublin and graduated from Trinity Christian School in 1993 with a plan to pursue a career in medicine. I completed undergraduate training at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, and graduated from Mercer University in 2004. I started medical school sure that I wanted to do a residency in Macon and return to Dublin to practice internal medicine. However, during my clinical rotations in Savannah, I changed my mind. I loved the surgical aspects of medicine and enjoyed developing a long term relationship with my patients. I soon realized that Obstetrics and Gynecology was a good fit for me. I completed my residency in Savannah at Memorial Medical Center. It was during that time that I met Jason and we were married in 2008. He was stationed in South Carolina on shore duty with the Navy at the time, so I joined a practice in Mt. Pleasant, SC. We eventually were blessed with wonderful twin boys, Sam and Owen in 2011. After practicing in SC for 12 years, we felt God leading us to Georgia and returned in 2021. It has been wonderful living near family and becoming a part of the community here. We are active members at
Connection Church Wilco.
Dr. Bullen's Care Philosophy
I love my job! It is so rewarding getting to know each patient and I consider it a privilege. I enjoy both
obstetrics and
gynecology and providing
care in all seasons of womanhood. It is my goal to provide compassionate care with excellence that is based on current literature and guidelines but also use shared decision making in determining a plan of care. It is my desire to have an efficient office with friendly faces and an inviting environment. I want my patients to look forward to their
visits in our office.

I grew up in Sandersville and graduated from Washington County High School in 2004. Driven by a keen interest in sciences and a deep desire to help others, I realized early on that my true calling was in nursing. After earning my biology degree at Augusta University and receiving valuable guidance from my advisor, I decided to pursue the nursing program. It was during my nursing studies that I discovered my passion for mother/baby nursing, which became the focus of my career. Prior to specializing in this area, I gained experience in renal med/surg at Piedmont Augusta. Following this, I eagerly seized an opportunity to work on the mother/baby unit at Fairview Park Hospital. Providing care to mothers and newborns brought me immense satisfaction. I found joy in not only tending to patients but also in educating parents on breastfeeding, postpartum care, and newborn care, sparking my interest in teaching. Subsequently, I obtained my Master’s in Nursing as a Nurse Educator from GCSU and completed the SANE program at GCSU. I transitioned to working in the school system and engaging in clinical teaching at GCSU. Despite these achievements, I felt my nursing journey was still evolving. The introduction of GCSU's Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program affirmed my path. I believed that every step I took was guided by God, and in His perfect timing, I would achieve my lifelong aspiration. My supportive husband, Jonathan, has been by my side since my biology degree. We are a family of six, and despite our busy lives, we always prioritize our faith, finding solace in attending services at our home churches, Bold Spring Baptist Church and Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, both located in Sandersville, GA.

I was born and raised in Dublin. From a young age, I knew that I wanted to study medicine. During high school, I began shadowing at Fairview Park hospital and in the Dublin medical community. I graduated from Trinity Christian School in 2003. After undergraduate studies, I completed the Physician Assistant program at the Medical College of Georgia in 2008. I have worked in several specialties over my career to include urology, OB-GYN, and orthopedics. I am thankful for each position, as all of them have given me valuable experiences and knowledge. Most importantly, I have enjoyed developing relationships with the patients who have entrusted me with their care. Obstetrics and women’s health stands out as a focus that I am very passionate about. I am grateful for the opportunity to join Dr. Bullen and Juaquasha at Providence OB-GYN. I reside in Dublin with my husband, Heath, and our three children. In my free time, I enjoy being a dance, scout, and sports mom. I attend Dudley Baptist Church.
